AMERICA AND THE GREAT WARS OF THE 20TH CENTURY - THE VICTIMS REMEMBERED
Introduction
Introduction
The 20th Century consisted of a series of wars involving countries around the world. In many conflicts, the United States played a significant part in either a supportive or primary role. All wars result in subjective victories proclaimed by victors, but the reality is no one is truly victorious. Victims exist in every war and as time passes on memories of victims fade while wars' victors are solidified in the history books. This Web site is dedicated to providing an overview of World War I, World War II, the Cold War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War, but is focused on the victims of these wars and what they endured. The purpose is to show that they are not forgotten and will always be remembered.
World War I and World War II are paired together on one page since they involve a common enemy in both, while the Cold War page includes the Korean War and Vietnam War because each were related to the Cold War between the United States and Russia. The second-to-the-last page involves the Gulf War, and the final page displays the references for each image and document displayed.

The title is "Last Jew of Vinnitsa, it shows a member of Einsatzgruppe D is just about to shoot a Jewish man kneeling before a filled mass grave in Vinnitsa."
This image is indicative of the genocide committed by Nazi Germany against the Jewish people during World War II.
